We are currently looking for a Sr. Operational Due Diligence Analyst in our hedge fund group with the following responsibilities:
- Research and report on 25-50 hedge fund managers each year.
- Ensure that all hedge fund manager information in NEPC’s investment manger database is current and accurate.
- Utilize internal database, in-person due diligence meetings, and telephone/email communications to confirm accuracy of manager-supplied information.
- Conduct on-site visits with hedge fund managers to determine their capabilities and suitability for inclusion in NEPC searches.
- Provide internal updates on due diligence findings in the hedge fund community.
- Provide write-ups for internal distribution on specific hedge fund managers.
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field and prior investment/finance-related experience. Master’s Degree or CFA designation or comparable experience preferred. Working knowledge of investment manager operations, especially hedge funds (both direct investing and fund of funds). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and report-writing capability. High degree of IBM-compatible computer proficiency, particularly relating to spreadsheet and database applications.

This is an entry-level position responsible for providing administrative support to five or more Consultants. Responsibilities include preparing and editing correspondence and other materials; ongoing maintenance of client data in our company database; coordinating and scheduling Consultant travel and meetings; copying, assembling, and monitoring the compilation of quarterly Investment Performance Analysis (IPA) books, Manager Search books, new business presentations, and educational presentations; print and graphic support; various mailings; and filing. Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
