More hedge fund managers are increasing the frequency of regular performance and portfolio reporting to clients, consultants say, at a time when investors are clamoring for even more transparency.
“Investors definitely want more transparency especially around their hedge fund investments,” Perry says. “Traditionally, there had been a pretty significant gap in what they receive from their long-only managers and their hedge fund managers, and we’re currently seeing that gap close, which we think is great.”
