Paul’s plan administration career began in 1977, and he joined NEPC in June 2009 to lead our vendor search / plan administration consulting efforts. Paul has over forty years of consulting experience in the design, communication, and administration of qualified and non-qualified defined contribution and defined benefit retirement programs.
Prior to joining NEPC, Paul was a Vice President at Fidelity Investments, a Field Vice President at Charles Schwab Corporate Services, and a senior consultant in Watson Wyatt Worldwide’s (now Willis Towers Watson) Boston office. It was at Watson Wyatt where he became a pension actuary and honed his defined contribution administration skills by actively participating in the design and maintenance of the defined contribution system and client valuations. This hands-on experience is invaluable when collaborating with clients on their vendor search business plans and drafting RFPs.
Along with his plan administration responsibilities, he also led numerous provider searches while consulting at Watson Wyatt, participated in finalist presentations and site visits while at Charles Schwab and Fidelity, and is responsible for expanding and enhancing NEPC’s vendor search capabilities.
Paul is a graduate of the University of Lowell, where he earned a B.S. degree in Mathematics. He is an Associate in the Society of Actuaries, an Enrolled Actuary under ERISA, and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
