Senior Research Consultant
Chris joined NEPC in April 2019, with his institutional investment experience beginning in 1999. Chris is a member of the Real Assets Research Group and is responsible for analyzing global market trends, identifying attractive investment themes, performing due diligence on investment managers, and working with clients to build and structure real estate and real assets investment portfolios.
Prior to NEPC, Chris was a Principal at Bard Consulting, based in San Francisco. In addition to management responsibilities at the firm, Chris focused on manager and asset due diligence, transaction structuring and negotiation, and real estate investment strategy development. Earlier, Chris worked at Babcock & Brown, a global investment and advisory firm, where he identified and invested in target markets, performed due diligence, originated new and restructured existing investments, and managed investment partner relationships. Chris was also in the investment management group at the Shorenstein Company, where he performed fund management services. Prior to that, he was at AMB Property Corporation (now Prologis) working in various roles, including asset and portfolio management, acquisitions, and fundraising.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science (real estate and entrepreneurship) from Babson College and his Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University. He holds the Counselor of Real Estate designation. Chris is a member of the Pension Real Estate Association and is currently a Co-Chair of the Capital Markets Affinity Group.
