Michael’s investment career began in 1998, and he joined NEPC in 2007. In support of his client relationships, Michael is responsible for overall plan design and asset allocation, manager selection and performance monitoring, as well as asset and liability studies in conjunction with risk budgeting. He is also a member of the Small Cap Equity Advisory Group.
Prior to joining NEPC, Michael was a Registered Client Associate within the Merrill Lynch Institutional Consulting Group. While there he supported two consultants in the four main areas of the institutional consulting relationship; investment policy statements, asset allocation studies, manager searches and performance monitoring. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Michael worked as an analyst on the pension and 401(k) investment staff of ThyssenKrupp Budd Company.
Michael earned an M.S. degree in Finance from Walsh College in 2006 and a B.A. in Finance from Oakland University 2001. Michael became a CAIA designee in 2010. He is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
