James E. Reichert, CFA

Senior Consultant

James’ investment career began in 1999, and he joined NEPC in 2007.  As a Senior Consultant, James is responsible for overall plan design, including investment policy development and asset allocation, manager selection and performance monitoring, as well as asset and liability studies in conjunction with risk budgeting.  James is a member of NEPC’s Asset Allocation Committee and Fixed Income Research Advisory Group and leads the firm’s research efforts on securities lending.

Prior to joining NEPC, James was a Senior Fixed Income Operations Manager at State Street Global Advisors.  While at State Street he was responsible for all aspects of operations for over 200 Fixed Income Accounts and Mutual Funds with assets in excess of $100 Billion including: daily performance calculations, bond pricing, derivative valuation and trade control, maintaining internal portfolio management records, daily/monthly cash and holdings reconciliations and delivery of monthly client reporting packages.  Prior to this, James spent two years overseeing the accounting, custody and pricing of State Street’s securities lending reinvestment pools.

James received his B.A. in History from Boston College.  James holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
