Eric R. Harnish
Senior Consultant, Director of Private Markets Research
Eric joined NEPC in 2009, with his investment career beginning in 1994. Eric is involved in NEPC’s private equity research and due diligence activities, in addition to providing consulting services for the non-traditional asset classes of various public, corporate, Taft-Hartley and endowment/foundation clients.
Eric most recently was employed at State Street Corporation as a Vice President in the firm’s Private Edge Group. In this position, he managed a staff of 12 professionals at State Street responsible for providing private equity consulting and performance reporting for institutional investors. Prior to State Street, Eric was a Managing Director at PrivateTrade Inc., a private equity consulting firm that provided advisory services to facilitate secondary transfers of LP interests in private equity funds. His previous experience also includes working for Andersen Consulting as a Senior Manager in their Strategic Services Division and serving as a Senior Associate for Arthur Andersen, LLP.
Eric has an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a B.A. from Duke University. He holds an inactive Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
