Daniel Kelly
Chief Operating Officer
Dan joined NEPC in 2011 and brings over twenty years of financial operations, risk management and leadership experience to NEPC. In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Dan oversees Performance Measurement, Technology and many of the ISP initiatives. In addition, he collaborates with other senior professionals on the operational aspect of our delegated and discretionary services platform.
Early in his career, Dan worked in operations at State Street Bank and Franklin Resources. In 1992, he joined Harvard Management Company, where he spent 17 years in a variety of positions including Vice President of Market Risk and Performance Analytics, Managing Director, and Chief Risk Officer. Most recently, he served as Global Chief Risk Officer at Union Bancaire Privee Asset Management in New York.
Dan received an M.B.A. from Babson College and a B.S. in Finance from Bentley University. Since 2005, he has been a member of the S&P/GSCI Index Advisory Committee, as well as the Institute for Quantitative Research in Finance.
